We exist because we understand one thing very clearly. And that is that you want to improve your English and get the scores you need – and you want that by studying in a systematic and personalized way, as well as without the stress and struggles that often comes with studying on your own. And more than that? You want flexibility so that you can fit in your study around your already packed days.

Founded in 2021 by me, Luminara Language launched as I needed a flexible platform that enables me to take care of my health, and now our flexible programs have benefited so many students!

The programs and services you will find here at Luminara are all driven by my passion for language and culture teaching and quality translation.

It is how we help you to reach your desired test scores and proficiency, and in turn become a more effective and confident communicator.

Sepanjang pengalaman les IELTS, jujur les dengan Ms. Bea adalah les terbaik yang pernah aku jalani! Slide nya jelaaasssss banget, rinci banget penjelasannya dan mudah dimengerti. Dulu aku biasanya belajar slidesnya dulu jadi pas kelas nyambung. Pas kelas, Ms. Bea tuh baikkkkk banget, jelasin pelan-pelan dengan bahasa yang mudah banget dimengerti dan fun banget. Satu hal yang paling keren: Ms. Bea nggak men-judge sama sekali. Mau seaneh apapun pertanyaan siswa (terutama aku) pasti dijawab dengan serius dan sampai penanya mengerti. Koreksian essay nya juga super komplit, bener-bener dikasih tau mana kalimat yang terbaca aneh, belum tepat dsb. Kalo bisa teh aku mau kasih more than two thumbs up buat Ms. Bea!

Vision, Mission, and Purpose

Brief History

Luminara launched in August 2021 as I was going through major changes in my health and I wished to be able to continue realizing my vision in a sustainable way. For the most part, Luminara had been conceived for quite some time and is therefore the result of my life experiences.

I spent most of my early years and childhood in the USA and returned to Indonesia before I turned 10 years old. At one point, I was overcome with the desire to become an English teacher. Luminara was then eventually birthed as the ultimate expression of my efforts to achieve my vision of empowering people through language education. I also wish to do this by humanizing the learning process and taking into account our life and issues in the world today.

Throughout the years, however, I was not always focused on this particular interest. I studied Management at Universitas Padjadjaran and have gained corporate, education consulting, translation, and teaching experience since 2008. However, my persistent passion for the TESOL field led me to pursue a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics (TESOL Studies) at The University of Queensland in 2018-2019. I was also fortunate to have been supported by Australia Awards Scholarships for my studies. All these experiences laid the foundation and provided the breakthroughs that helped me bring my visions to life my visions through Luminara. My experience of over 10 years in teaching English and in the translation industry has enabled me to do this and provide quality services and results.

Vision & Mission

At Luminara, we aim to provide engaging and impactful language courses and programs for Indonesians and also quality translation/editing services, by taking advantage of the team’s expertise and extensive experience. We endeavor to design and tailor the programs, courses, and services to cater to the needs of our learners and clients, with regards to their unique goals and needs whenever possible.

We also share valuable knowledge and insights from our academic, professional, and scholarship application experiences. We also strive to constantly learn and improve, to strengthen our expertise to continue providing better solutions. In the future, we may expand our venture to other languages and services.

We envision Indonesians being empowered, having their language proficiency and communication skills boosted and their potential developed, and ultimately becoming competent and kind-hearted global citizens.
